Doxim’s utility payments platform gets new feature for donations
Doxim is releasing a new feature on its utility payments platform that enables customers to make a donation to a registered charity when paying their utility bill.
While working with Doxim to on-board their bill payment process, the team at Louisville Water Company mentioned a previous initiative which was not working optimally, and asked if Doxim’s product team could design and develop a better process. Recognizing this as a worthwhile initiative, Doxim committed to building this feature into its platform.
The timing of this initiative is fortuitous. The impact of COVID-19 has been devastating for many communities. As much as 25% of U.S. adults say they or someone in their household have lost their income because of the pandemic, with 15% saying this happened to them personally.
While COVID-19 caused a significant increase in anxiety and uncertainty, it has also highlighted a sense of community and a willingness to help others.
All clients using Doxim Utilitec payment Solution (EBPP) will have access to the donations feature
Louisville Water Company will be the first Doxim client to go live with this feature, and it will be available to all clients that use the Doxim Utilitec Payment Solution (EBPP).
When settling their utility bill, customers will have the option to make a donation to a registered charity, nominated by the utility. While many utilities already run programs that help customers pay bills when low on funds, the simplicity and online availability of this feature means that making a donation will be really easy.
By incorporating the donation option into the online payment process, the team is hopeful that the number of donations will increase significantly.
Doxim is proud to be part of this initiative that enables communities to support each other during challenging times.
