New Statement Solution Provides Large Print Statements for Individuals With Impaired Vision

Doxim Inc., (, the leading provider of cloud-based Enterprise Content Management and advanced document processing solutions for Financial Service Providers, today announced that it has introduced a new statement design that responds to the demand for easier to read print documents for individuals with impaired vision.

With this new statement solution, Doxim’s clients are able to offer their customers a special large print statement. This enables them to be in compliance with the regulations outlined in Canada’s Accessibility Guidelines for Information and Communications, as well as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, which came into effect in 2012.

In designing this new statement Doxim has leveraged the CNIB’s Clear Print Design Standard, which provides guidance and recommendations on producing documents for readers that have experienced vision loss, including:

  1. Using high contrast colours for text and background
  2. Ensuring as much print as possible is black on white
  3. Using fonts with a point size between 12 and 18
  4. Using mid weight sans serif fonts with clear upper /lower-case characters
  5. Using monospaced rather than proportionally spaced fonts
