Doxim’s Fault Tolerant Server Infrastructure Makes it Possible
The Doxim BPM architecture combines services into work plans, and then enables the service provider to run various work plans for each company.
A service is a piece of code written to handle a specific function – examples include composition (where the data is composed into a readable or printable form), or bundling (where different statements are either bundled into the same package, or are bundled together for electronic processing and upload to an archive).
A work plan is a combination of services in a logical order based on specific company parameters.
By distributing and duplicating services across multiple servers a first level of redundancy is provided.
This allows for near real-time replacement of failed servers/services reducing the risk of jobs not completing/having to be restarted, which in turn provides greater assurance that committed SLAs can be met.
This distributed server system allows for the dynamic allocation of jobs to servers based on load and availability and also leads to improved service pooling meaning that, for example, a small high priority job no longer needs to wait for a large, lower priority job to complete before it can be processed.
